Full Job Description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Doc Drawer to join our retail consumer lending team in our Santa Ana office. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of loan origination processes and be familiar with various regulations and guidelines. This role is crucial in ensuring that all necessary documentation is accurately prepared and compliant with industry and company standards, contributing to the overall efficiency of the loan closing.

Responsibilities

Prepare and review loan documents for accuracy and completeness, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
Effectively communicate status and expectations to processors, loan originators, escrow/title, etc..
Analyze credit package/loan docs for accuracy.
Ensure data integrity.
Review loans for compliance with RESPA, RESPA tolerances, TILA, and MDIA.
Make detailed notes as needed in the LOS conversation log.
Maintain a high level of customer service by responding to emails and phone calls in a timely manner.
Utilize basic math skills for calculations related to loans, escrow, and other financial aspects.
Complete all required documents associated with each customer transaction.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Doc Drawer in a similar role within a mortgage company or bank is required.
Must be comfortable working with tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.
Familiarity with loan origination systems is essential.
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Proficient in basic math calculations relevant to financial transactions.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining individual accountability.
Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with colleagues and clients professionally.
High School graduate or equivalent.

Compensation will be based upon experience.
