Are you a quality-driven problem solver who thrives in an innovative, cutting-edge manufacturing environment? Rosenberger North America in Akron, PA is looking for a Quality Engineer who can elevate our processes, drive continuous improvement, and bring expertise in standards like ITAF 16949 and AS9100. If FMEA is your language and you take pride in building world-class products the right way - we want to speak with you.

Rosenberger North America is an innovative global leader in RF (radio frequency) technology with an international presence. Our products are used in wireless technology, telecom, test & measurement, automotive, medical, military, industrial and data systems. We are currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our Transportation/Automotive team in Akron, PA.

The ideal candidate for this role will have prior experience with the following:

Monitoring suppliers’ quality performance (supplier scorecards).
Managing CARS and SCARS.
Managing key suppliers by proactively communicating quality system and product requirements.
Managing on site supplier audits (and supporting supplier QMS records) as required to assure supplier has the ability to meet Company quality requirements.
Participating in NPI (New Product Implementation) meetings and provides input on concerns/issues with new parts as discovered during preliminary review of parts.
Preparing quality documentation and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, including failed processes, stability studies, recalls, corrective actions, and revalidations.
Writing measuring programs for Keyence, Nikon, etc.
Measuring parts with calipers and other equipment and has a good understanding of measuring units, especially millimeters and inches.
Keeping work instructions updated and generates visual aids as needed.
Facilitating disciplined problem solving on quality issues. Ensuring timely resolution of quality defects, corrective actions, and preventative actions by managing small project teams to resolve problems.
Analyzing quality issues to identify root causes and implements corrective action and takes proactive measures, such as developing and implementing continuous improvement programs covering production processes and quality management systems.
Facilitating First Article Inspections and submitting reports to customers in a timely manner.
Providing guidance and support to the Quality department team members.
Continuous Improvement Activities.

This position may travel up to 5% of the time to customer visits, trainings, other plant locations, etc.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a Lean manufacturing environment. We require a 2-year technical degree; a 4-year college degree is preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

Be detail oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities with precision.
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write detailed Work Instructions.
Be a strong team player who is able to work with multiple departments.
Have experience in reading and interpreting customer blueprints.
Experience with internal audits, corrective actions, and interaction with suppliers and customers.
Acts as a Quality Champion and sets high standard for self and others.
Continuous improvement minded.
