Position Purpose : Our nurses serve as trusted partners to W. Dale Franks Jr., MD and the WDF team by providing exceptional perioperative and postoperative nursing care while guiding patients and caregivers through every stage of the surgical journey. This role blends nursing judgment, thoughtful preparation, compassionate education, physician partnership, and operational awareness to create an experience where patients feel safe, informed, supported, and genuinely cared for. This is an opportunity to work alongside a board-certified plastic surgeon with a close-knit team, committed to excellence and high end patient experience. We are searching for someone who doesn't simply complete-tasks - they take ownership, solve problems, anticipate needs, lead with autonomy, and help raise the standard for the entire team.
This is not a high-volume MedSpa or hospital-style role. It is ideal for a nurse who values a private practice experience, precision, innovation, and meaningful work in a refined.

Schedule Expectations
- Full-time. Regular practice hours with preparation before clinic, end-of-day responsibilities, and occasional after-hours patient needs.
- Primarily weekday daytime hours, early mornings
- Occasional early evening hours required
- No overnight shifts
Responsibilities
- Surgical Post Op Patient Care: Comprehensive assessments- Wound, drain, and dressing management- Recovery assessment and escalation
- Surgery Day:- Patient preparation- Coordination with anesthesia- Consents, medications, vitals- OR transition while protecting dignity
- Patient Journey:- Education- Caregiver support- Continuity of care- Follow-up coordination
- Physician Partnership:- Comprehensive patient updates- Anticipate physician needs- Prepare patient before evaluation
- Documentation:- Accurate clinical documentation- Standardized photography- Supports continuity and physician decision-making
- Practice Operational Support:- Prepare for the entire day before first patient- Support practice flow- Collaborate with patient care coordinator
- Team Partnership:- Collaborate with all clinical roles- Preserve role clarity while ensuring nothing falls through the cracks
- Continuous Improvement:- Improve systems- Support accreditation- Refine workflows
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Carolina
- Previous recovery, surgical, or procedural nursing experience preferred
- BLS and ACLS Certification
- Strong assessment skills and attention to detail
- Professional and compassionate bedside manner
- Preferred: Plastic surgery or outpatient surgery experience; aesthetic nursing; bilingual English/Spanish.
