Key Activities:

Fire Alarm, IP Cameras, and Access Control installation, integration, networking, programming of IP enabled equipment, and service support principally in the field.
Interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittal documents, specifications, and schematics
Maintain project and service work timelines, equipment, installation records, wiring diagrams, as-built drawings, etc.
Responding to service requests, diagnose system malfunctions and adjust, repair, or replace equipment as needed to bring into compliance.
Communicate with customers, contractors and support staff to ensure effective job implementation and completion.
Ensure that team members adhere to proper safety standards.
Provide guidance and field training to apprentice technicians.
Maintain truck inventory
Constantly improve technical knowledge to stay abreast of changing technology through field experience, training seminars, and certifications.

Requirements:

Current 06 Electrician
High School Diploma or equivalent required
3-5 years documented experience with Fire Alarm, IP Cameras, Access Control, and other related fields
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Capable of performing physical labor including lifting and moving equipment and tools
Retain any licenses that are required by National, State and Local Codes
Able to pass a pre-employment background and drug test
Current Washington State driver’s license and a safe driving record

Experience

Fire alarm: 3 years (Preferred)
Access Control: 3 years (Preferred)
Intrusion: 3 years (Preferred)

License/Certification

EL 06 Low Voltage license (Required)
NICET II fire alarm or equivalent (Preferred)
FA-1 Seattle fire alarm license (Preferred)
