Full Job Description

Azura Credit Union is looking for an experienced Marketing Specialist to join our dynamic marketing team. The Marketing Specialist will work in conjunction with the Communications Coordinator and Community Relationship Manager, to execute plans and contribute ideas to support the overall marketing strategy, as directed by the Vice President of Marketing.

The Marketing Specialist is a key member of the Marketing team, assisting in the management and execution of digital content and events for Azura Credit Union. This demanding, diverse role blends content creation, coordination and hands-on facilitation. Strong know-how, project management and organizational skills. The Marketing Specialist travels as need to events and to various credit union branches. Flexibility in work schedule with the ability to work non-traditional hours is required.

Duties:

Create original marketing content designed to generate interest and increase brand awareness, including but not limited to photography, videography, graphics and copy.

Design and schedule content for social media that adheres to established brand guidelines, including posts and paid ads.
Assist with creative advertisements including print, web, PPC, and ads within our digital banking platforms.
Prepare and submit news releases; identify and act on newsworthy opportunities that arise.
Collaborate with internal and external compliance reviewers to ensure all content and designs meet regulatory compliance standards prior to distribution.
Share in proofreading all marketing materials.
Provide support to areas outside of the marketing department to promote key initiatives including growth, efficiency, and member experience.

Coordinate and execute plans for various activities and events in the region primarily in Topeka, Johnson County and Ottawa. Events include annual meeting, workshops and seminars, expos and booths, member and employee appreciation, contests and community events hosted at our various locations and outdoor space.

Create and manage budgets, communications, request forms, calendars, scheduling, ticket distribution, presentations and materials related to events; and report on effectiveness and ROI as applicable.
Provide on-site management for event setup and breakdown. Serve as lead contact and/or host, as needed, for events.
Document events for content creation.
Support CRM with financial wellness initiatives and partnerships as well as engagement and business development opportunities.

Oversee the sourcing, design, inventory, and distribution of branded promotional products to support event activations and strengthen overall brand recognition.

Research promotional materials; provide suggestions to various departments based on application and budget; and facilitate orders, delivery and distribution.
Manage onsite inventory, storage spaces and vendor relationships.

Participate in creative brainstorming to help define and deploy strategic campaigns with defined goals and objectives.

Conduct research including competitive analysis and report on campaign results.
Assists with audit and examination preparation related to all marketing efforts.

Qualifications:

Three to five years of related experience
Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, journalism, or business-related field preferred. Equivalent, related work experience will be considered.
Advanced skills and proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Express and Photoshop are required.
Experience with photography, videography and graphics.
Previous experience with content management systems, email marketing tools, social media scheduling software, and other common marketing tools.
Previous event planning experience with proven success.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with advanced proofreading and copy-editing skills.
General understanding of SEO principles.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask, maintain a fast-paced workflow and meet department standards and deadlines.
Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
General understanding of financial institution products and services.
Public speaking skills
