Full Job Description

_Job Position Description _

Senior Accountant – Tax & Compliance Manager

This position manages all accounting, tax, licensing, and audit compliance activities across three companies.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in accounting (required)
3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
Proficiency in QuickBooks (required)
CPA certification a plus, but not required
Experience with multi-entity or multi-state accounting preferred
Experience managing third-party audits preferred

Responsibilities

Manage Bookkeeping and Financial Statements/Reports

Manage daily bookkeeping in QuickBooks for all three companies
Review accounts daily and address any discrepancies across all three companies
Review and complete month-end financials — e.g., balance sheet, P&L, bank statements

Tax Management

Prepare and file state and local taxes (sales tax, property tax, etc.) across 5+ states for all three companies
Prepare and file federal taxes across all entities
Manage payroll taxes in QuickBooks across all entities
Register for new payroll states as new employees are hired

Audit Management

Manage third-party audits for all three companies, including document preparation and direct coordination with auditors

License Management

Manage all local and state licenses across all three companies — ensure compliance and maintain organized records on file
Register new local and state licenses as needed, including direct communication with government agencies

Work Location

Remote (work from home)

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
