Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting and Clerical Support Specialist for a part-time position with our team. The ideal candidate will assist with daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and support the accounting department and general office with administrative and reporting tasks. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has high attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions
Reconcile bank accounts
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Review jobs in financial system for completeness for billing or job costing to closeout
Support subcontractor payroll processing and expense reporting as needed
Communicate with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding account inquiries
Perform general administrative duties for the accounting department and general office
Answer company phonelines, assess caller needs, and direct them to the proper personnel

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
1–3 years of accounting or bookkeeping experience required
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, SAP, etc.)
Strong organizational and time management skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Strong communication skills and pleasant phone presence

Pay: From $20.00 per hour
