Full Job Description

Position Summary:

The Buyer position focuses on the procurement and availability of electronic components, PCB assemblies and custom machined parts required for manufacturing of the company’s products. NexTek is a world-class leading provider of Innovative EMC Solutions for coaxial/RF surge protection devices, and EMI filtering for AC/DC power applications.

This position will interface with operations, engineering and planning to purchase and expedite material to fulfill work orders. The specific responsibilities of this position include obtaining quotes, negotiating pricing, and placing purchase orders with suppliers, calling to expedite delivery. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel primarily) and experience with ERP/MRP software required.

Key Responsibilities

· Procure materials and services to support production schedule.

· Issue purchase orders and subcontracts

· Enter purchase orders into MRP/ERP system

· Maintain accuracy of ERP/MRP system

· Ensure receipt of order acknowledgements/confirmations and verify costs

· Identify, communicate, and mitigate any potential lead time issues

· Develop and maintain necessary records and files for efficient operation

· Work with accounting to resolve any invoice discrepancies promptly

· Clear communication skills (both verbal and written)

· Ability to work with minimum supervision and independently prioritize work without missing deadlines.

· Ability to handle multiple issues simultaneously

· Problem solving/troubleshooting skills

· Vendor resourcefulness

· Negotiating skills

· Other duties assigned

Job Types: Contract, Full-time

Pay: $67,500.00 - $72,500.00 per year
