Position Summary:
Client is recruiting for a Driver Safety Compliance Operations Manager to support its road safety program, for U.S. field-based drivers. This is a compliance operations, business partnership, and liaison role focused on program validation, report review, stakeholder coordination, vendor follow-up, escalation support, and audit-ready execution. The role serves as a connector and primary point of contact for the business on road safety-related compliance questions, issues, and escalations. This role serves as the business partner liaison and connector between the business, fleet operations, drivers, managers, affiliate leaders, internal functions, external vendors, and leadership to ensure requirements, issues, and escalations are understood, validated, followed up, and visible. The role also leads the steering committee by providing metrics, data insights, practical tips, and recommendations that support stronger compliance, better decision-making, and safer driving outcomes.
Job Responsibilities/ Requirements:
- 25% – Support road safety compliance operations and governance activities, including policy requirements, audit readiness, annual program reviews, documentation, driver compliance validation, manager accountability follow-up, and closure of required program actions.
- 25% – Lead the steering committee and provide program metrics, reporting, data insights, practical tips, and recommendations to leadership and key stakeholders. Serve as the compliance operations partnership connector and business partner liaison across Fleet Operations, affiliate leaders, drivers, managers, internal teams, and vendors to keep actions moving, clarify ownership, improve visibility, and support consistent program execution.
- 20% – Conduct the virtual New Hire Orientation for drivers, providing an overview of driver roles, responsibilities, compliance expectations, and available program resources. Oversee all other driver safety training requirements by receiving reports, tracking completion, validating data, following up on gaps, and escalating non-compliance as needed; this role does not coordinate or conduct behind-the-wheel, annual, or vendor-led training.
- 20% – Receive, review, and validate road safety program reports and driver program data, including crash and injury reporting, CURVE, CPMM/IPMM, post-crash coaching status, high-risk driver monitoring, MVR follow-up, policy attestation, and timely escalation when information, documentation, or required actions are missing, delayed, or incomplete.
- 10% – Support continuous improvement, data quality, system alignment, vendor governance, Workday-to-vendor accuracy, reporting discipline, process documentation, compliance gap identification, and recommendations that strengthen program execution and leadership visibility.
- 10% – Serve as the business point of contact for road safety-related compliance questions, issues, and escalations. Coordinate compliance-related escalations that intersect with fleet processes while partnering with Fleet Operations and vendors on required data, documentation, reporting, billing validation, and stakeholder follow-up.
- Support audits and assessments by preparing, validating, and organizing required documentation and follow-up actions.
- Provide compliance guidance, stakeholder support, and program information as the business partner liaison and point of contact for U.S. business partners, drivers, managers, internal support teams, and Fleet Operations.
- Oversee driver safety training completion by receiving reports, validating completion data, identifying gaps, and escalating overdue or incomplete requirements.
- Support escalation tracking and documentation follow-up for driver-related incidents or program exceptions.
- Share program metrics, trends, practical tips, and recommended actions with internal stakeholders to support stronger compliance and safer driver behavior.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience in compliance operations, program coordination, risk management, data validation, stakeholder support, vendor coordination, business operations, or related fields may be considered.
