About Us:

We are a compassionate, client-focused non-medical Home Care agency dedicated to enhancing the lives of those we serve. As we grow, we are seeking a highly organized and experienced Billing Supervisor to join our team.

Position Summary:

The Billing Supervisor will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of billing and claims, including Idaho Medicaid and Veterans Administration (VA) claims, as well as Community Based Services (CBS) billing. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent multitasking skills, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing billing processes, ensuring accuracy in medical coding, and maintaining compliance with industry standards. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems, including ICD-10 and ICD-9, to facilitate effective billing operations

Key Responsibilities:

Prepare and submit claims for Idaho and Washington Medicaid, Veterans Administration, and Community Based Services with minor review of weekly caregiver schedule to payroll verification.

Maintain accurate billing records and resolve any billing discrepancies in a timely manner.
Utilize 10-key and coding skills for data entry and claims processing.
Track accounts receivable and follow up on unpaid claims or rejections.
Collaborate with care coordinators and administrative staff to ensure accurate documentation and billing.
Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.

Required Qualifications:

Previous billing experience in a healthcare or home care setting.
Proficient in submitting Medicaid claims.
Strong understanding of medical collection processes and insurance claim submissions.
Experience with Veterans Administration and CBS billing.
Strong 10-key and medical coding skills.
High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with the ability to work independently with little to no supervision.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working in a home health or private duty home care agency with experience in Idaho Medicaid and V.A. billing processes.
Knowledge of billing software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Responsibilities

Review and analyze patient accounts for accuracy in billing and coding.
Process medical claims and ensure timely submission to insurance companies.
Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies in billing information.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology, coding systems, and regulations.
Conduct follow-ups on outstanding claims and manage collections as needed.
Ensure compliance with DRG (Diagnosis Related Group) guidelines.
Update and maintain medical records systems to reflect accurate billing information.
Assist in training staff on billing procedures and coding practices.
