Full Job Description

Riverside Eye Center & Ambulatory Surgery Center — Lewiston, Maine

Riverside Eye Center & Ambulatory Surgery Center is seeking a Per Diem Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to provide anesthesia services in our outpatient ophthalmic surgery center.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CRNA looking for flexible, predictable daytime work in a professional outpatient environment. Our center is AAAHC-accredited and primarily performs ophthalmic procedures under monitored anesthesia care (MAC) and other appropriate anesthesia techniques.

Position Highlights:

 Per diem position with a flexible schedule

 Predictable daytime hours

 No nights, call, weekends, or major holidays

 No minimum number of shifts required

 Primarily outpatient ophthalmic surgery

 Professional, team-oriented environment

 Competitive PRN hourly compensation

Responsibilities:

The CRNA will be responsible for:

 Performing pre-anesthesia patient evaluations and developing appropriate anesthesia plans

 Administering anesthesia and monitored anesthesia care in accordance with established standards

 Monitoring patients throughout the perioperative period

 Managing airway, hemodynamic, and other anesthetic needs as appropriate

 Providing safe and effective emergence and postoperative care

 Collaborating with surgeons, nursing staff, and other members of the perioperative team

 Maintaining accurate and timely anesthesia documentation

 Following all applicable regulatory, safety, infection-control, and accreditation requirements

 Participating in quality and patient-safety initiatives as appropriate

Qualifications:

 Current Maine RN and APRN/CRNA license in good standing

 Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program

 Current NBCRNA certification

 Current BLS and ACLS certification

 DEA registration or eligibility

 Previous ambulatory surgery experience preferred

 Ophthalmic anesthesia experience is welcomed but not required

Compensation:

Competitive PRN hourly rate, based on experience and qualifications.
