Full Job Description

Wild Oats is a fast-paced café, bakery and market in Brunswick that specializes in "real food made by real people."Every loaf of bread, soup, sandwich, pastry and dessert is still made from scratch using high-quality ingredients.

We're looking for dependable, hard-working Support Staff to help keep everything moving behind the scenes. This isn't "just washing dishes." You'll be an essential part of the team that allows our bakers, cooks, sandwich makers and baristas to do their best work.

If you like staying busy, take pride in doing things well, and enjoy being part of a close-knit team, you might be a great fit.

Your typical day might include

Checking in and putting away our daily deliveries
Washing dishes and making sure every department has what they need to keep production moving
Slicing meats and cheeses for our sandwich and savory teams
Picking fresh herbs like basil and parsley
Stocking items in our coolers, freezers, and dry goods areas
Helping with prep projects throughout the bakery and kitchen
Cleaning and organizing work areas so the entire building runs smoothly
Working alongside every department to support hundreds of customers each day

What we need from you

Weekend availability. This is a requirement, not a preference.
At least 24 hours per week
Reliable transportation to 166 Admiral Fitch Avenue in Brunswick
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Comfort standing, walking and moving for most of your shift

Previous restaurant or kitchen experience. We train.

How pay works

Frequency: Weekly

Base hourly: $15.25 to $17.00 an hour, depending on experience

Our tip pool average per hour over the last 12 months: $3.32 per hour

Expected Pay Range: $17.75-$20.25 per hour
