Full Job Description

Moscow Family Eye Care (MFEC) is looking for a dedicated Front Desk Receptionist to join our rapidly growing ophthalmology and optometry practice.

About the Position

This is a full-time role with an hourly wage of $17–$21 per hour DOE. We’re looking for a career-oriented individual who wants to grow within our practice and take advantage of opportunities for advancement.

As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in ensuring a friendly, professional, and efficient experience from the moment they walk through our doors or call our office. The ideal candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment, enjoys customer service, and is a quick learner who can problem-solve independently.

Key Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients, ensuring a welcoming and professional first impression.
Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with patient inquiries.
Verify and update patient information in our electronic medical record system.
Process insurance verifications and collect copays/payments at check-in.
Assist with patient check-out and schedule follow-up visits as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area.
Provide general administrative support to the office as needed.

Experience in a healthcare front desk role is preferred, but we are open to candidates with strong customer service backgrounds in other industries.
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a busy medical office.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
A team player who is willing to step in and help coworkers as needed.
Comfortable with technology and able to quickly learn new systems.
A proactive problem-solver who is friendly, detail-oriented, and professional.
