Full Job Description

Winterwood, Inc. is seeking a motivated Lease Cancellations Corporate Intern to join our Accounting team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience working closely with accounting professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Job Type: Temporary

Schedule: Part-Time | Flexible, within Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $17.00 per hour

What You’ll Do

Assist with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks in the accounting department.
Support team projects through research, data entry, and analysis. This position is heavily focused on supporting the Lease Cancellations Specialist with move out packets and transfers.
Assist with leasing and rents duties relating to accounts statement, balances and refunds.
Assists with keeping accounts current with NCS following the states necessary guidelines.
Verifies all Final Account Statement have required documentation and submits to Lease Cancellations Specialist for final approval.
Responsible for tracking, labeling, redacting and logging all checks in the drive.
Assist in new implementation of processes regarding Lease Cancellations.
Strong attention to detail when dealing tenants, move out packets, balances and refunds.
Learn and use company tools, systems and processes.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Eagerness to learn and take on new challenges
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient computer skills
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
