Full Job Description

Job Overview
RPD Technologies Americas, LLC is a premier "Center of Excellence" dedicated to the development and commercialization of next-generation refining, petrochemical, and renewable technologies. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist to operate and maintain our HAAS VF2 3-axis vertical machining center. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience setting up and running precision parts from start to finish, with a strong understanding of GD&T, tooling, and quality standards in a production or job-shop environment.

Core Responsibilities

Set up and operate the HAAS VF2 vertical machining center for milling, drilling, boring, and tapping operations
Select, install, and adjust cutting tools, fixtures, and work holding devices to ensure accurate part positioning
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T callouts to achieve tight dimensional tolerances
Collaborate with engineers and quality teams to review first-article parts and implement process improvements
Perform in-process inspections using precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, CMM, gauges)
Perform routine machine maintenance, lubrication, and cleaning; report mechanical issues promptly
Maintain accurate production records, setup sheets, and inspection documentation in compliance with shop standards
Write, edit, and optimize CNC programs using G-code and M-code; work with HAAS conversational programming is a plus

Requirements for the CNC Machinist

3–5+ years of hands-on CNC machining experience in a production or job-shop environment
Demonstrated experience operating the HAAS VF2 vertical machining center or equivalent HAAS VMC
Proficiency in G-code and M-code programming; ability to edit programs at the control
Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T symbols
Experience with precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and height gauges
Knowledge of cutting parameters, feeds, speeds, and toolpath strategies for various materials (steel, aluminum, titanium)
Familiarity with CAM software (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent) is a strong plus
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to producing defect-free parts
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment
High school diploma or GED required; vocational/technical certification or associate degree in machining technology preferred

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour
