Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Line Cook/Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. This role is perfect for a passionate culinary professional eager to lead kitchen operations, ensure exceptional food quality, and elevate the dining experience. As a key member of our kitchen management team, you will oversee daily food preparation, supervise kitchen staff, and uphold the highest standards of food safety and sanitation. Your energetic leadership will inspire your team to deliver outstanding service in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Lead and supervise kitchen staff during service, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality food production
Oversee food preparation, cooking, plating, and presentation for plated and take-out orders.
Manage line preparation, monitor stock levels, and coordinate with head chef
Implement and uphold food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations
Assist in menu planning and recipe development to maintain innovative and appealing offerings
Monitor shift operations, manage staffing schedules, and provide training to foster team growth
Coordinate with the dietary department for special dietary needs and catering requests
Enforce restaurant policies related to food handling, hygiene, and safety protocols

Experience

Proven experience in food production within a high-volume restaurant or fine dining setting
Supervising experience leading culinary teams in fast-paced environments
Strong background in food safety sanitizing procedures and kitchen hygiene standards
Demonstrated proper food handling practices
Experience managing teams as a chef or sous chef with leadership skills in hospitality settings
Familiarity with menu planning, shift management, and restaurant operations
Knowledge of dietary requirements and working within the dietary department is a plus
Prior experience in hospitality or food industry roles that emphasize service excellence and team leadership
