Job Summary

We are seeking a Transportation Engineer to join our dynamic team dedicated to advancing transportation infrastructure projects. You will support roadway and traffic design projects, collaborate with senior engineers and project managers, and help deliver effective solutions for municipal, state, and private clients. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative civil engineering solutions, utilizing advanced technical tools and project management methodologies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in transportation planning, system design, and construction management, with a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering services.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive transportation system designs utilizing AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, and other CAD software to create detailed plans and technical drawings.
Conduct transportation planning analyses using GIS tools such as ArcGIS and System design software to evaluate traffic flow, capacity, and safety considerations.
Manage project schedules effectively, ensuring timely completion of design phases and coordination with construction teams.
Oversee construction management activities, including site inspections, quality assurance, and adherence to project specifications.
Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation through precise technical writing to support project proposals and regulatory submissions.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project engineering tasks, integrating civil engineering principles into transportation solutions.
Utilize project management tools to monitor progress, allocate resources efficiently, and communicate updates clearly to stakeholders.
Support system design efforts by integrating civil engineering standards with innovative transportation solutions.
Assist in the development of bid packages and construction documents ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with industry standards and emerging technologies in transportation engineering.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field;
Proven experience in transportation planning, civil engineering design, or related roles.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, GIS (ArcGIS), and other relevant CAD or GIS software.
Strong understanding of construction management principles and techniques.
Familiarity with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.
Knowledge of system design principles for transportation infrastructure projects.
Excellent technical writing skills for preparing reports and documentation.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility is highly desirable.
