Full Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Starting rate is based upon experience. Please inquire about our competitive hourly rates and bonus program.

The Front Desk team's primary focus is to assist the patients of Pure Dermatology with great care. To accomplish this, team members must master patient scheduling, patient check-in and check-out, productively solve day to day issues in a busy medical office with a smile, and relay staff concerns directly to the front office manager for consultation and resolution. They must also embrace new tasks, technologies, policies, and procedures with enthusiasm. As a dermatology specialty clinic, a working knowledge of the specialty is preferred. We also encourage those that have worked as a medical assistants with front office experience to also apply. We offer incredibly competitive wages which are dependent upon experience and quickly escalate within the 6 month probationary period based upon performance.

Duties:

Welcome patients and visitors by graciously greeting them in person or on the telephone
Answer patient questions or refer medical inquiries to the clinical team
Optimize patients’ satisfaction, provider time, and treatment room utilization by scheduling appointments in person or by telephone
Keep patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patients’ arrival via online practice management system
Comfort patients by anticipating patients’ anxieties or questions
Ensure availability of treatment information by scanning and naming patient records
Maintain patient accounts by obtaining, recording, and updating personal and financial information
Obtain revenue by collecting patient payments
Maintain business office inventory and equipment
Maintain protected health information in accordance with HIPAA privacy guidelines
Rotate to front check-out patient liaison position as scheduled
Maintain business operations by following policies and procedures
Master new technologies and online practices to streamline patient care, such as mastering online bill pay, patient portals, EMR Intramail, online forms, and patient kiosk

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
