Position Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Office Manager to serve as support for our Accounting and Operations Team. This pivotal role transcends traditional administrative duties, offering a unique hybrid of responsibilities across finance, human resources, and operational support. The successful candidate will report to our Financial Controller and will be instrumental in streamlining processes, supporting our team, and driving company efficiency. This is an exceptional opportunity for a multi-talented professional who is eager to wear multiple hats in a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Administration: Be a support to Humboldt’s payroll manager during payroll processing that occurs every 2 weeks. Oversee some accounting functions using QuickBooks Online and execute AR/AP in a daily basis.
Human Resources: Spearhead the implementation of the company's policy and procedures. This includes researching benefits, fully managing employee new hires onboarding and medical enrollment and be the main point for HR inquiries.
Operational & Client Support: Act as a key liaison for supply chain communications and perform select customer interactions, upholding the company's standard of professionalism and service.
General Operations: Provide versatile support across departments, embracing opportunities to contribute where needed and championing a collaborative, "all-hands-on-deck" culture. Act as logistics or warehouse role as receiving clerk as need.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience: A minimum of five (1) years of progressive experience in office management, accounting, or a senior administrative capacity.
Technical Proficiency: knowledge of QuickBooks Online and Google Workspace (G-Suite) is required.
Professional Attributes: A demonstrated ability to work independently as a self-starter. Must possess strong initiative, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage tasks without direct supervision.
Strongly Preferred: A bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field is highly preferred.
Education: B.B.A., B.S. or B.A. in Human Resource Management, Bachelors in Labor and Employment Relations, or related fields.
