Full Job Description

Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced skilled and passionate Pastry cook to join our Pâtisserie team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cake & pastry production and an eye for detail, particularly in cake decorating and presentation. This role requires creativity, dedication, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The Pastry Cook will be responsible for preparing a variety of whole cakes, pastries, desserts, and baked goods while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality.

Duties

Prepare and bake a wide range of pastries, cakes, and desserts according to established recipes.
Decorate cakes and pastries with artistic flair to enhance presentation.
Package finished products for sale or catering orders, ensuring they are visually appealing and properly labeled.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure timely production of baked goods for service.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and kitchen equipment.
Adhere to food safety guidelines and proper food handling procedures at all times.
Assist in inventory management by monitoring ingredient levels and placing orders as needed.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients regarding special orders or dietary needs.

Qualifications

Proven experience in whole cake & pastry production or a similar role within the pastry industry.
Strong baking skills with knowledge of various pastry techniques.
Experience in cake decorating is highly desirable.
Familiarity with food preparation, cooking methods, and kitchen equipment.
Excellent knife skills and attention to detail in food presentation.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Strong communication skills and a commitment to teamwork within the kitchen environment.
Previous experience in catering or patisserie settings is a plus.
