Job Summary

Responsibilities

Take and accurately process food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS, ensuring quick and correct transactions.
Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, craft beers, wines, and non-alcoholic options, adhering to established recipes and presentation standards.
Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests warmly, answering questions about menu items, and making personalized recommendations based on guest preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area and dining space in compliance with food safety standards.
Develop beverage recipes and assist in creating new drink offerings to enhance the menu’s appeal.
Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately during shifts, including processing payments and giving correct change.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders while maintaining high-quality service standards.
Uphold all food safety regulations, including proper food handling procedures and sanitation practices.
Assist with banquet or catering events as needed, providing professional service in various settings.
Demonstrate strong time management skills to balance multiple tables or bar stations efficiently during busy hours.

Experience

Prior experience in food service or hospitality industry roles is highly preferred, especially within fine dining or upscale establishments.
Proven expertise with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is essential for efficient order processing.
Demonstrated knowledge of mixology techniques, cocktail recipes, spirits, wine varieties, and craft beer is required to deliver expert beverage service.
Experience in beverage recipe development or bartending competitions is a plus for creative contributions.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple responsibilities seamlessly.
Familiarity with food safety standards, proper food handling procedures, and sanitation practices is necessary for maintaining health compliance.
Knowledge of restaurant operations including cashiering, cash handling, basic math skills for retail math calculations, and banquet or catering experience will support your success in this role.
Previous experience working with diverse POS systems like Aloha or Micros enhances efficiency in transaction processing.
