Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Lab Technician to collect and process specimens, perform laboratory testing, report results, and support the daily operations of the laboratory. In this role, you will work under the general supervision of the Laboratory Supervisor and collaborate with providers, nurses, staff, patients, and outside healthcare partners. Schedule: Monday – Friday, Saturday Rotation

What You’ll Do

Receive lab orders through the electronic medical record or laboratory information system.
Greet patients, verify identity, provide instructions, prepare patients, collect specimens, and perform testing procedures.
Perform phlebotomy, including adult or pediatric venipunctures, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
Collect and process urine specimens and throat cultures; may perform EKG testing.
Perform technical laboratory functions in chemistry, hematology, urinalysis, immunology, and microbiology.
Process and verify results, report results according to clinic protocols, and alert staff to critical results.
Follow laboratory policies for specimen handling, quality control, calibration, maintenance, documentation, and corrective action.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifying degree, education, training, or experience in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science or medical technology.
ASCP certification.
Intermediate knowledge of ICD and CPT coding and medical terminology.
Experience documenting patient care in an electronic medical record.
Basic PC, keyboarding, and Microsoft Office 365 skills, with the ability to learn new applications.
Strong communication, organization, planning, and prioritization skills.
Previous clinic experience and Epic or Sunquest experience preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
