Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Dishwasher to join our dynamic culinary team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of all kitchenware, utensils, and equipment to ensure a safe and efficient food service environment. Your energetic approach will help keep our kitchen running smoothly, supporting chefs and food service staff in delivering exceptional dining experiences. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on kitchen experience while contributing to a vibrant hospitality setting.

Responsibilities

Operate commercial dishwashing equipment efficiently, ensuring all dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen tools are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized according to food safety standards.
Follow proper food handling and sanitizing procedures to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with health regulations.
Assist with basic food preparation tasks when needed, including organizing clean items for use in cooking stations.
Support bussing duties by clearing tables, removing trash, and ensuring the dining area remains tidy and welcoming.
Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and boxes safely while adhering to kitchen health and safety standards.
Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing areas, sinks, and storage spaces through regular cleaning routines.
Operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and drying racks efficiently while observing safety protocols.

Qualifications

Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; a strong willingness to learn is essential.
Knowledge of food safety sanitizing procedures and sanitation standards in a commercial kitchen environment.
Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting and standing for extended periods.
Familiarity with basic kitchen operations such as dishwashing, bussing, and maintaining cleanliness standards.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on hygiene and safety compliance.
Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards supporting the culinary team.
Experience with food preparation or catering is a plus but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
