Job Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Line Cook in the back of the house, where your passion for food and culinary expertise will shine! In this energetic role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality dishes with precision and consistency, ensuring every plate meets our standards of excellence. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced, fine dining environment while contributing to memorable dining experiences for our guests. Your dedication to food safety, recipe adherence, and efficient food production will be key to your success and ours.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes, standards, and presentation guidelines.
Operate kitchen equipment such as grills, braising pans, poaching stations, and food processors safely and efficiently.
Maintain high standards of food safety and sanitizing procedures to ensure a clean and safe kitchen environment.
Assist in menu planning by providing input on ingredient availability and preparation methods.
Support food handling and food production processes for high-volume service periods, ensuring timely meal preparation.
Follow food safety management protocols, including proper knife skills, portion control, and allergen awareness.
Collaborate with team members in meal preparation for catering events or special functions while adhering to recipe specifications.
Maintain cleanliness of workstations and ensure all kitchen equipment is properly operated and sanitized after use.
Uphold excellent food service standards by serving dishes promptly and professionally during busy service hours.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting, especially in fine dining or high-volume kitchens.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques including grilling, braising, poaching, and other cooking methods.
Demonstrated ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Experience with dietary aide tasks or dietary department procedures is a plus.
Proven skills in food handling, sanitation, and food safety procedures aligned with industry standards.
Excellent knife skills with attention to detail in recipe adherence and portion control.
Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality standards during peak hours.
Prior catering experience or experience supporting large-scale meal production is advantageous.
