Full Job Description

We are looking for an enthusiastic Dining Room Supervisor to provide an excellent member and guest experience.

Responsibilities

Supervise food and beverage service for members and guests in the dining room

Assures a high standard of appearance, hospitality, and service in Clubhouse
Strong interpersonal as well as written and oral communication skills
Basic knowledge of club’s POS system including reservation system
Strong beverage knowledge preferred
Ability to suggestively sell wine and cocktails and give menu recommendations
Able to slow and refuse alcohol service when necessary
Consistently follows all proper sanitation practices, including those related to personal hygiene
Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
Acts ethically and honestly at all times
Assures that all state and local laws and club policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are consistently followed
Knowledge of and ability to perform required role during emergency situations
Supervise food and beverage service for members and guests in the dining room
Supervise dining room staff
Maintain order and cleanliness and ensure that member satisfaction standards are consistently attained
Prepare dining room/patio according to reservations and creating sections for each dining room server
Ensures the set up and stocking of server stations and appropriate kitchen areas
Coordinate food service between kitchen and front of the house
Maintains clean appearance of all service ware and linens
Able to resolve member and guest complaints and communicate such to management. If unable to resolve, inform management immediately to resolve issue
Assist in training of new staff in dining room
Assigns and assists in completion of opening and closing duties of both front and back of the house areas
Assist servers with table clearing and resetting if available to do so
Enforce established rules, regulations and policies
Conduct pre-shift meetings with dining room staff
Informs management of need to purchase any items including china, coffee, tea, etc.
Assures that state and local laws and the club’s policies and procedures for the service of alcoholic beverages are followed
Coordinates food service between kitchen and service staff
Assures that revenue control procedures are continually followed
Manages the guest reservation system and a waiting list, if necessary
Microsoft Office experience preferred
Complete other duties as assigned

Licenses and Special Permits:

Alcoholic beverage certification
Food safety certification

Job Type: Full-time

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
