Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Counselor to join our dynamic mental health and social services team. In this role, you will provide expert guidance, support, and therapeutic interventions to individuals across diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and adults. Your expertise will help clients navigate mental health challenges, develop coping strategies, and achieve their personal goals. Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and clinical evaluations using evidence-based practices and standardized tools such as ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
Deliver individual, group, family, and youth therapy sessions utilizing modalities like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), trauma-focused therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavior management techniques.
Implement crisis intervention strategies to effectively manage urgent situations involving clients experiencing PTSD symptoms, grief, or co-occurring disorders.
Develop personalized treatment plans aligned with clinical documentation standards and ensure ongoing progress tracking within electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including social workers, medical professionals, educators, and case managers to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
Provide telehealth therapy sessions utilizing secure platforms to expand access to mental health services across various settings.
Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical ethical guidelines while ensuring accurate medical documentation and records management.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.
Proven experience working with individuals with SUD; outpatient experience highly valued.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), applied behavior analysis (ABA), trauma-focused therapy, and addiction counseling.
Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluation and documentation purposes.
Experience providing crisis management, grief counseling, or trauma-informed care in clinical settings.
Proficiency in clinical documentation standards; experience with EMR/EHR systems essential.
Excellent client communication skills with the ability to build rapport across diverse populations.
