Position Summary

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) serves as the first point of contact for patients at Vascular Surgical Associates' Marietta office. This role is responsible for creating a warm, professional, and efficient front-desk experience — managing patient check-in and check-out, verifying demographic and insurance information, collecting payments, obtaining referrals and authorizations, and coordinating communication between patients and the clinical team. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated self-starter with strong customer service instincts, excellent multitasking ability, and a genuine commitment to patient care in a fast-paced surgical practice.The Patient Service Representative (PSR) serves as the first point of contact for patients at Vascular Surgical Associates' Marietta office. Key Responsibilities

Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional, and compassionate approach
Manage check-in and check-out, including insurance verification and demographic updates
Schedule and coordinate patient appointments
Collect co-pays and payments; support daily batch reconciliation
Obtain referrals, orders, and authorizations for in-office services

Required Skills and Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required; prior healthcare or medical office experience preferred
Demonstrated compassion and exemplary customer service skills when interacting with patients
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Positive attitude, sound judgment, and ability to work well within a team
Highly motivated self-starter with strong time-management skills
Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast-paced clinical environment
Proficiency with EHR systems, scheduling software, and general office technology (email, MS Office)
Working knowledge of insurance verification, co-pay collection, and referral/authorization processes preferred

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

Primarily seated front-desk work involving extended computer and telephone use
Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting (up to 15 lbs.) of files or supplies
Regular, in-person attendance at the Marietta office during scheduled hours
