Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic surgical team. In this vital role, you will assist in a wide range of surgical procedures across various specialties, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety, infection control, and operative efficiency. Your expertise will contribute to delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility where your technical skills and attention to detail will make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives.

Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing and arranging surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment to ensure readiness for procedures.
Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and managing surgical tools with precision and care.
Maintain strict aseptic techniques throughout all phases of surgical procedures to prevent infection and ensure patient safety.
Monitor vital signs, patient responses, and physiological data during surgeries, documenting findings accurately in medical records.
Operate and troubleshoot medical equipment used in surgeries, including endoscopy systems, cardiovascular devices, and neurosurgical tools.
Support the sterilization process of surgical instruments and ensure compliance with healthcare infection prevention protocols.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiologists, nurses, and physicians to facilitate smooth surgical workflows across specialties such as orthopedics, neurosurgery, trauma care, pediatrics, and cardiovascular surgery.

Skills

Extensive knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to surgical procedures.
Proven experience assisting in Level I Trauma Centers or Level II Trauma Centers with trauma care and emergency medicine protocols.
Strong background in orthopedic surgery assistance, fracture treatment, neuro-surgery support, and cardiovascular procedures.
Skilled in data collection related to patient vitals, treatment outcomes, and procedural documentation within Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems.
Expertise in infection control practices including hospital experience with sterilization techniques and healthcare-associated infection prevention.
Ability to perform suturing efficiently while maintaining aseptic technique; adept at handling complex surgical instruments with precision.
Critical care experience within ICU or acute care environments; familiarity with pediatric (pediatric ICU) settings is a plus.
Proficient in medical equipment operation such as endoscopes, cardiovascular monitors, and specialized surgical tools.
Strong analysis skills for assessing patient condition changes during procedures; excellent attention to detail for maintaining accurate medical records.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within hospital medicine settings and ambulatory surgery centers while adhering to safety standards.
