MAKE AN IMPACT IN SUPPLY CHAIN
As a Supply Chain Scheduler for Bird-Johnson, you’ll play an integral role in the preparation, planning, and issuing and controlling of production schedules along with coordinating material requirements to ensure a controlled flow for approved materials is timed to meet production.

You’ll work closely with teams across the organization while advising management on the status of work and helping overcome potential production obstacles.

What You’ll Do
As a Supply Chain Scheduler, you will help coordinate the flow of materials and components needed to support production. You’ll work across departments and with suppliers to help ensure materials are available when they are needed and that potential obstacles are identified and addressed.
Key Accountabilities
- Managing incoming components and parts based on Bird-Johnson’s master production schedule, shop load and inventory requirement
- Working closely with suppliers to confirm material demand, availability, and delivery dates to support the Naval team
- Coordinating interdepartmental activity with quality assurance, manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, inventory control, traffic, etc.
- Scheduling and expediting the movement of parts by means of move orders, stock transfers and requests for shipping orders
- Working within Systems, Applications and Products (SAP) system to ensure data integrity and compliance of supplier commitments
What You Bring
We’re looking for someone who can bring strong organization, communication, follow-through and supply chain fundamentals to a cross-functional manufacturing environment.
Basic Requirements
- 2+ years of work experience in logistics, supply chain planning, purchasing or manufacturing, or a degree.
- Must be able to sit for long periods of time and feel comfortable working the manufacturing floor when necessary
- In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must be a US Citizen
Preferred Requirements
- Systems, Applications and Products (InFor) experience
- Experience with project management
- Experience collaborating with various departments
