Full Job Description

Eat Cake 4 Breakfast is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Cake Production & Decorating Assistant to join our growing team. This position works directly alongside our Lead Cake Decorator, assisting with the production of custom cakes, cupcakes, and other specialty desserts in our high-volume, scratch bakery.

Responsibilities

Mix cake batters and prepare ingredients
Bake cakes and cupcakes according to recipes and quality standards
Fill, stack, level, and assemble cakes
Prepare buttercream, fillings, and other cake components
Assist with frosting and decorating custom cakes and cupcakes
Help with finishing touches, packaging, and order preparation
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workspace
Assist with other pastry production as needed

Qualifications

Previous baking or cake decorating experience is preferred
Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen
Ability to thrive under pressure and keep up with seasonal demand during our busiest months
Positive attitude and willingness to learn
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds
Reliable transportation and punctuality are required
Early morning availability is required

We're looking for someone who enjoys working with their hands, has an eye for detail, and takes pride in creating beautiful desserts. Our bakery experiences a busy seasonal rush, so we're looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, can stay organized under pressure, and is excited to be part of a hardworking team. Whether you already have cake decorating experience or are eager to learn from an experienced cake decorator, we'd love to hear from you.

Pay: $17.02 - $20.00 per hour
