Full Job Description

Job Overview

In this role, you will be responsible for the daily setup, operation, and maintenance of our CNC Laser. Your day-to-day duties will include:

Operating the CNC Laser
Unloading finished parts
Cleaning and preparing parts as needed
Safely operating a forklift to move materials and parts
Helping the rest of the Columbiad team as time allows

Our expectations for laser operators include:

Maintaining a steady production rate and minimizing machine downtime
Ensuring all parts meet quality standards
Maintaining a clean and safe work environment
Completing all documentation as directed
Wearing required PPE at all times while on the production floor
Standing, walking, and lifting parts for the duration of the shift

Laser operators report to their shift’s Team Lead for day-to-day operation and to the Laser Supervisor for scheduling and all other matters.

Qualifications

Familiarity with hand tools and their proper usage.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality workmanship.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Physical stamina to perform tasks that require standing for long periods, lifting heavy materials, and working in various conditions.

Hours

2nd shift runs from 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM. Standard operation is Monday - Thursday. Overtime is as needed on Fridays.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
