Job Summary

One of the Best Family Law practices in Tennessee is seeking a dynamic and organized Receptionist / File Clerk to join our team! In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for visitors and callers, ensuring a warm, professional, and efficient experience. You will manage front desk operations, handle a variety of clerical tasks, and support office management functions. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment while maintaining smooth administrative workflows. This paid position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with strong organizational skills and a passion for customer service to thrive in a fast-paced office setting.

Responsibilities

Greet visitors and clients warmly, providing exceptional customer service and directing them appropriately
Answer multi-line phone systems promptly, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and professionalism
Manage front desk operations including scheduling appointments, handling inquiries, and onboarding new clients
Perform clerical duties such as filing, data entry, word processing, proofreading, and document organization
Support office management tasks including calendar management, appointment scheduling, and basic administrative support
Maintain accurate records through filing systems—both physical and electronic—ensuring easy retrieval of documents
Assist with general office duties to ensure efficient daily operations and uphold organizational standards

Skills

Legal office experience is preferred, but not required. We're willing to train the right person with a great attitude and strong work ethic.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and computer literacy for various administrative tasks
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a busy environment
Strong customer service orientation with effective client communication skills
Experience handling multi-line phone systems and demonstrating professional phone etiquette
Capable of typing accurately with good proofreading skills to ensure error-free documentation
Personal assistant experience or familiarity with front desk responsibilities is a plus
Seeking a candidate who is dependable and punctual
