Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with various accounting tasks. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software. The Accounting Clerk will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of financial data and supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.

Responsibilities

Manage accounts receivable by processing invoices and tracking payments.
Perform data entry tasks to maintain accurate financial records.
Utilize accounting software such as Quicken, QuickBooks, and PeopleSoft for various accounting functions.
Assist in balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy in financial reporting.
Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, ensuring all debits and credits are accurately recorded.
Support payroll management by processing employee hours and ensuring timely payments.
Collaborate with team members to resolve discrepancies and improve accounting processes.
Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure compliance with company policies.

Experience

Proven experience in accounts receivable or similar accounting roles is preferred.
Familiarity with accounting software such as Quicken, QuickBooks, or PeopleSoft is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and payroll management.
Excellent math skills with attention to detail for accurate data entry and financial reporting.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
