CPM Builders is a growing commercial construction company specializing in luxury retail, high-end interiors fast-track commercial projects. We deliver exceptional construction solutions for nationally recognized brands and continue to expand our footprint throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead multiple construction projects while providing strategic leadership to project teams, clients, subcontractors, and field personnel. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about delivering projects with excellence, precision, and accountability.

Position Summary

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, execution, and financial performance of assigned construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

This leadership position requires strong technical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously while ensuring schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives are achieved.

Candidates with a Civil Engineering degree and extensive commercial construction experience are strongly preferred.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Execution

Lead construction projects from preconstruction through final turnover.
Develop project execution strategies, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
Manage project teams, including Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and consultants.
Establish project goals, milestones, and performance expectations.
Ensure successful project delivery while maintaining CPM Builders' standards for quality and client satisfaction.

Client & Stakeholder Management

Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, consultants, and stakeholders.
Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead project meetings and provide regular updates regarding schedule, budget, risk, and project status.
Resolve issues proactively to minimize impacts on project performance.

Financial & Contract Management

Prepare and manage project budgets, forecasts, and cost reports.
Review and approve subcontractor agreements, purchase orders, and change orders.
Monitor project profitability and financial performance.
Manage contract administration and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Identify and mitigate financial risks.

Scheduling & Planning

Develop and maintain master project schedules.
Monitor progress and implement recovery plans when necessary.
Coordinate procurement activities to support project milestones.
Ensure all project activities align with construction schedules and client expectations.

Construction Operations

Coordinate closely with field teams and site leadership.
Conduct regular site visits to ensure project compliance and quality.
Review plans, specifications, shop drawings, and submittals.
Support field teams in resolving technical and operational challenges.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.

Safety & Quality

Promote a culture of safety throughout all project operations.
Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and company safety policies.
Monitor quality control processes and implement corrective actions as needed.
Participate in safety meetings, project audits, and inspections.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of construction project management experience.
Minimum 5 years managing commercial construction projects independently.
Proven experience overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong understanding of budgeting, scheduling, procurement, and contract administration.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
Strong knowledge of change management, RFIs, submittals, and project controls.
Excellent leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
Proficiency with:
Procore
Bluebeam
Microsoft Project
Microsoft Office Suite
Primavera P6 (preferred)

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering strongly preferred.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus.
Experience in luxury retail, hospitality, commercial interiors, and fast-track construction projects.
Experience working as a General Contractor.
Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
OSHA 30 Certification preferred.

This position requires a high level of dedication, responsiveness, and availability to support active construction projects.

Preference will be given to candidates who can devote their full professional attention to CPM Builders and who are not actively operating a separate construction company, general contracting business, project management firm, consulting practice, or other business venture that may create a conflict of interest or interfere with job performance.

All outside business activities, ownership interests, consulting engagements, or employment relationships must be disclosed and may be subject to company review and approval.

Physical Requirements

Ability to travel regularly between project sites.
Ability to walk active construction sites.
Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and navigate construction environments.
