Overview

Join our dynamic manufacturing team as a Press Brake Operator and become a vital contributor to precision metal fence fabrication.

In this role, you will operate and set up press brake machines to bend and form sheet metal components with accuracy and efficiency. Your expertise will help ensure high-quality production standards are met while maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in CNC machine operation, blueprint interpretation, and metal forming techniques within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

Operate, set up, and adjust press brake machines to produce precise bends according to technical drawings and specifications
Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to determine proper tooling and machine settings
Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and height gauges to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are achieved
Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting on press brake equipment to maximize uptime and safety
Collaborate with team members on tooling selection, machine setup, and process improvements for optimal production flow
Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety standards in production environments
Assist with material handling using forklifts or other equipment when necessary for sheet metal movement or storage

Experience

Proven experience operating press brake machines in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and machining instructions
Familiarity with CNC programming basics related to press brake operations is preferred but not required; training will be provided for candidates eager to learn
Knowledge of various fabrication processes such as CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, welding, forming machines, CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) is advantageous
Skilled in measurement techniques for quality control using precision measurement tools and instruments
Understanding of shop math principles relevant to machining and fabrication tasks
Ability to operate hand tools, tooling setups, and sheet metal fabrication equipment safely and efficiently
Commitment to maintaining high safety standards in accordance with industry regulations and company policies
