Full Job Description

Currently, we are looking for a Practice Operations Analyst in our Detroit Office. In addition to our Corporate Detroit Office, we have offices in Chicago, IL, Grand Rapids, Bloomfield Hills, Kalamazoo, and Washington D.C. With more than 350 attorneys working in 60 different areas of concentration, Honigman provides timely and cost-effective counsel to clients in numerous industries.

The Practice Operations Analyst supports the strategic and day-to-day operations of the Practice Operations Team in supporting the firm’s practice groups and legal departments. This role will analyze performance, improve operational efficiency, and drive data-informed decision-making. The Analyst plays a key role in financial analysis, matter management, workflow optimization, and reporting to enhance the overall effectiveness and profitability of the practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Conduct business analysis and research to identify key metrics and opportunities for improvement.

Develop processes and procedures to ensure business solutions meet strategic goals.

Consult with key stakeholders to determine business objectives and success factors.

Collaborate with team members to collect, analyze, and evaluate information from multiple sources.

Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Work with peer administrative groups and stakeholders to develop solutions that meet business requirements.

Support Directors of Practice Operations and attorney group leaders in the day-to-day operation and short- and long-term strategy and execution within the practice groups and legal departments.

Planning and development of content, materials, and logistics around practice group and legal department meetings.

Continuously improve existing business processes and strive to develop new ones to improve efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or related field.

Strong problem-solving and planning skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication and analytical skills.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite—with particular emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint. Must have strong overall technology skills and demonstrate a willingness to learn new applications as they become commercially available.

Previous legal industry experience a plus.

Experience in data visualization, data analysis, and project management is not required, but preferred

Must have a strong client service orientation.

Ability to effectively work within our environment and engage the departments, practice groups and individual attorneys to increase the value delivered to clients and the firm.

Ability to work well with multiple deadlines, innovative problem solving and prioritization skills.

Must be a problem solver, willing to work and think energetically and independently and to accept responsibility for producing work that is consistently complete, timely, effective and accurate.

Must demonstrate adaptability and flexibility to new ideas and to new approaches.

Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with appropriate level of discretion.

Pay Range and Compensation Package

Honigman provides a generous total compensation package, which includes comprehensive health and well-being benefits, as well as 401k and profit sharing. The anticipated annual pay range for this role is $75,000 to $90,000 (exempt). The actual offered pay rate will be determined based on various factors, including qualifications, experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and internal equity considerations.
