Location & Schedule

Southern Dallas (Redbird area)
Hybrid Work Model: 3 days in office / 2 days remote

About the role
We are hiring an Accounting Coordinator to support both receivables and payables for a busy logistics focused accounting group in Dallas. This role is ideal for someone who likes variety, enjoys working with data and documents, and wants to build a strong foundation in accounting operations.

You will help keep invoices moving, customer information updated, and documentation organized. You will also have the chance to suggest improvements as you become more familiar with our workflows.

What you will do

Daily cash application
Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies
Provide customers and internal partners with documentation that supports invoices and adjustments
Process and record adjustments and refunds
Enter vendor payments
Prepare and execute payments to vendors
Reconcile vendor statements to internal AP records
Set up new vendors in system
Assist in start/stop of services at all locations - ex. pest control, utilities, etc.
Review, update and reconcile expense spreadsheets - ex. Propane usage and expense
W-9s - communicate with new vendors to obtain tax documents
Research outstanding/uncashed checks
Assist with other accounting related tasks and projects as assigned, such as cleanup work, spreadsheet updates, or document tracking

What you bring

Associate degree in accounting, business, or a related field
At least 1 year of work experience in an office, accounting, billing, or similar environment
Strong computer skills, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Very strong attention to detail and comfort working with numbers and documentation
Clear communication skills, both written and verbal
Reliability and a willingness to learn how the full accounting process fits together
