Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Program Director to lead and oversee impactful community programs focused on public health, youth development, and social services. In this vital role, you will drive program development, manage diverse teams, and foster partnerships that amplify our mission to serve underserved communities. Your leadership will inspire innovative solutions, ensure program excellence, and promote sustainable growth through strategic planning and effective resource management. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference while honing your leadership and project management skills.

Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive community programs aligned with organizational goals and community needs.
Lead volunteer management efforts by recruiting, training, supervising, and recognizing volunteers to support program activities.
Oversee program operations, ensuring adherence to budgets, timelines, and quality standards through effective project management.
Cultivate partnerships with local organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and stakeholders to expand program reach and impact.
Coordinate public speaking engagements, workshops, and outreach events to promote awareness of programs and services.
Collect and analyze data related to program participation, outcomes, and community feedback to inform continuous improvement.
Manage social media platforms and marketing strategies to increase visibility and engagement within target communities.
Supervise staff members by providing mentorship, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
Oversee fundraising efforts by writing grant proposals, organizing fundraising events, and cultivating donor relationships.
Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, regulations, and safety protocols including CPR certification requirements.

Experience

Proven experience in supervising teams or managing volunteers within community-based or social service programs.
Demonstrated success in program development from conception through evaluation in public health or youth education settings.
Strong background in project management with the ability to coordinate multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience in public speaking and community outreach.
Familiarity with social media management tools, marketing strategies, data collection methods, and technical proficiency in relevant software applications.
Knowledge of addiction counseling, public health principles, social work practices, or related fields is highly desirable.
Experience working with underserved populations or in culturally diverse environments is essential for success in this role.
Organizational skills combined with administrative experience in recruiting staff or volunteers are critical for effective program oversight.
