Full Job Description

Job Summary

An Automotive Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring products and manufacturing processes meet customer, regulatory, and internal quality standards within a fast-paced Tier 1 automotive manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain quality control systems, standards, and procedures.
Monitor production processes and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with quality requirements.
Lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Coordinate with production, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues.
Conduct internal audits and support IATF 16949 compliance activities.
Analyze quality data and prepare reports for management review.
Train employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
Oversee QA/QC staff and daily laboratory operations.
Ensure proper documentation of inspections, testing, nonconformances, and corrective actions.
Support new product launches and validation activities.
Promote 5S and continuous improvement within quality and lab environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Minimum 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing quality environment.
Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, quality systems, audits, and corrective action processes.
Experience with quality tools, statistical analysis, and manufacturing systems.
Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to stand, bend, twist, and work extended hours as needed.
Ability to work in manufacturing and elevated environments.

Travel

Occasional travel as required.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $86,000.00 per year
