Staff Accountant (Accounts Receivable and Pass-Through) | Kent, WA

The Opportunity Join a family-owned distribution and logistics leader as a Staff Accountant. Reporting directly to the Controller, you will take ownership of a high-volume, complex revenue cycle and manage critical pass-through transactions between global suppliers and end users. This is a 100% on-site role in Kent, WA, featuring a private, dedicated office suite designed for focused analytical work.

Key Responsibilities

· Full-Cycle AR: Oversee daily invoicing and credit memos while maintaining professional relationships for overdue account collections.

· Pass-Through Management: Manage intricate factory-to-end-user billing flows, ensuring margin accuracy and precise documentation.

· Strategic Support: Partner with the Controller on month-end closing, financial reporting, and visibility into aging reports.

· Audit and Compliance: Maintain audit-ready documentation for all distribution transactions.

Qualifications

· Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

· Technical Skills: Mastery of Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, and Advanced Filtering).

· Experience: Background in Distribution, Manufacturing, or Logistics is highly preferred.

· Expertise: Prior experience with pass-through accounting is a significant advantage.

· Expertise: Three to five years of experience in Accounting or Finance.

Compensation and Growth

· Salary: $84,000 – $89,000.

· Career Path: Direct mentorship from the Controller with a trajectory toward Senior Accounting.
