Full Job Description

Overview

Join our compassionate team as a Personal Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and personal needs. This vital role involves providing attentive, respectful, and personalized care to enhance the quality of life for residents in various care settings. Whether supporting seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those managing chronic conditions, you will be a trusted partner in their well-being. We are dedicated to fostering a positive environment where your caregiving skills are valued and your efforts directly impact lives.

Duties

Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support
Monitor patient health by checking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature; observe and report any changes or concerns
Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance
Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other assistive devices to ensure safe transfers and mobility support
Maintain clean and safe living environments by performing light housekeeping duties including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces
Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents meticulously to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulations

Qualifications

Prior experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings preferred
Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders
Certifications in First Aid and CPR are highly desirable; ongoing training in patient monitoring and safety protocols is a plus
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks required for resident transfers and mobility assistance
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare teams, residents, families, and social workers
Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information
Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to provide empathetic support tailored to each resident’s needs
