FlexTrades is seeking experienced Welders to join our team. This role involves fitting, tacking, and welding components to ASME standards with a strong focus on quality and safety. The ideal candidate has experience with MIG and TIG welding and can read technical drawings.

Responsibilities
- Fit, tack, and weld components to ASME Section VIII standards
- Perform MIG, TIG, and automated MIG welding per WPS requirements
- Complete groove and fillet welds in all positions (including occasional 6GR)
- Weld carbon steel parts such as plate, pipe, nozzles, and brackets
- Read and interpret blueprints, AWS symbols, and WPS documents
- Inspect welds visually using gauges to ensure quality
- Clean, grind, and finish welds to meet standards
- Operate shop equipment (overhead cranes, pallet jacks)
- Set up fixtures and ensure proper alignment
- Perform both fixtured and freehand welding with precision
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace
- Support team learning, mentoring, and continuous improvement
Qualifications
- Experience with MIG and TIG welding (automated welding is a plus)
- Ability to weld in all positions, including vertical and overhead
- Experience working with carbon steel in fabrication settings
- Ability to read technical drawings, AWS symbols, and WPS documents
- Comfortable with metric and imperial measurements (metric preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and quality focus
- Experience with weld inspection, grinding, and finishing
- Ability to operate or learn shop equipment (e.g., cranes)
- Willingness to learn shop-specific processes
- Ability to pass ASME weld qualification tests
- Reliable, team-oriented, and strong work ethic
Pay and Benefits:
- Pay: $36/hour
- Guaranteed Overtime Each Week paid at time and a half
