Our ongoing product development efforts have been a key growth factor for SEECO, producing innovative and commercially successful products, such as unitized transmission switches, line post sensors for transmission switching automation applications, single bottle and multi-bottle vacuum interrupters, and single and variable speed electro-mechanical motor operators.

About the job:

SEECO is seeking a self-motivated Fabricator to join our team. MUST BE ABLE TO READ A TAPE MEASURE!! This role involves reading and interpreting technical drawings and all related documentation. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent manual dexterity, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. All candidates must be able to pass a company required background check and drug screen.

What you will do:

Adhere to all Safety and Quality Zero Tolerance policies to ensure a safe and compliant work environment
Collaborate effectively in a team setting to support safety, quality, and production standards
Fabricate structural parts (plates, mounting angles, frame members, etc.) from bar stock utilizing fabrication lists from job files and work orders to determine fabrication quantities.
Lay out and set up work with minimal assistance.
Operate all hand tools typically found in a fabrication environment, band saw, drill press, radial arm drill, vertical mill, iron worker and shear safely and efficiently
Light set up, adjustment, and maintenance of fabrication equipment.
Emphasis is on high productivity, high quality and increasing responsibility, skill levels and competencies.

What you will bring:

High school diploma or GED certificate
Technical or vocational training in fabrication or manufacturing is a plus
Previous experience (minimum 5 years) in a fabrication or manufacturing role, particularly in metal fabrication is preferred
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and specifications.
Strong manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 70 lbs) regularly
We need team members who can work hard in all kinds of weather and in a demanding environment
