Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dietary Cook to join our team in providing nutritious and delicious meals for our residents. The ideal candidate will have experience in food production within an assisted living or healthcare setting. This role is essential in ensuring that all meals meet dietary requirements while maintaining high standards of food safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

Prepare and cook a variety of meals according to established recipes and dietary guidelines.
Ensure all food is prepared in a safe and sanitary manner, adhering to food handling regulations.
Assist in menu planning, considering the nutritional needs of residents.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas, including proper sanitation practices.
Collaborate with dietary aides to serve meals efficiently and ensure resident satisfaction.
Manage time effectively to meet meal service deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
Monitor inventory levels of food supplies and report any shortages or needs for replenishment.
Participate in training sessions to enhance culinary skills and knowledge of dietary requirements.

Experience

Previous experience as a Dietary Aide or Cook in a food service environment, preferably within assisted living or healthcare settings.
Strong knowledge of food production techniques and meal preparation processes.
Familiarity with dietary restrictions and special meal requirements for various health conditions.
Excellent time management skills to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen.
