Full Job Description

Tax Manager

(experienced Senior Associates considered)

If you want to progress without putting the rest of your life on hold. This firm has built its growth around sustainability, not burnout.

They’re around 30 people, fully independent, and intentional about how work is planned and shared. Hours are budgeted, workloads are actively managed, and no one is left quietly drowning. Busy season typically caps around 60 hours, and once it’s over, you're back to 40 hours or less.

What the role looks like

You’ll work across a mix of S-Corps, partnerships and 1040s, supporting a broader team that also handles property tax, payroll and bookkeeping. Clients range from farms and trucking companies to local, family-owned businesses.

This hire is about growth, not backfilling burnout. They’re looking for someone who enjoys:

Managing and reviewing work
Being a point of support for senior associates
Answering questions and helping others step up
Taking ownership without being micromanaged

Ideally, you’ll already have your CPA, but they’re also open to people actively working toward it (or EA).
