Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will act as a liaison between customers and the service department, ensuring that all service requests are accurately documented and communicated. This role requires strong customer service skills, a solid understanding of automotive repair processes, and the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Greet customers upon arrival and assess their service needs.
Document customer concerns and vehicle issues accurately in the system.
Provide detailed explanations of services required, including maintenance and repairs.
Collaborate with service technicians to ensure clear communication regarding vehicle diagnostics and repair processes.
Prepare estimates for services and repairs while aligning with customer expectations.
Follow up with customers regarding their vehicle status and any additional services needed.
Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and customer interactions.
Assist in managing inventory levels for parts and supplies related to automotive repairs.
Stay updated on industry trends, automotive diagnostics, and new technologies.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a Service Writer or in a similar role within the automotive industry is preferred.
Knowledge of automotive repair processes, including diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance.
Strong background in sales or automotive sales is an advantage.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to customers.
Proficient in using service writing software and other related tools.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation of services.
