Full Job Description

Sheker Construction is a growing general contracting firm specializing in commercial build-outs and ground-up commercial projects throughout metro Detroit. We're known for tight coordination, clean execution, and building lasting relationships with clients and subcontractors alike. As we continue to grow, we're looking for an organized, detail-driven professional to run the engine room of our office.

The Role

We're seeking a Construction Office Manager to keep our day-to-day operations running smoothly — from permitting and paperwork to subcontractor scheduling and client communication. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on structure, juggles multiple moving pieces without dropping the ball, and enjoys being the person everyone relies on to keep things moving.

What You'll Do

Manage day-to-day office operations, including scheduling, filing, and administrative workflows
Coordinate permitting paperwork and track approvals across active jobs
Support subcontractor scheduling and communication to keep projects on track
Assist with invoicing, billing, and basic bookkeeping tasks
Serve as a point of contact for clients, vendors, and subcontractors
Maintain organized project files and documentation for active and completed jobs
Support project managers and ownership with reporting, correspondence, and general office needs
Help streamline office processes as the company grows

What We're Looking For

Prior experience in an office management, administrative, or coordinator role (construction industry experience a strong plus)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable managing multiple deadlines and priorities at once
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office / Google Workspace; experience with construction management software is a plus
A proactive, no-drama problem-solver who takes ownership of their work
Reliable, punctual, and professional

Pay: $50,326.44 - $60,608.18 per year
