About the Role

We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our precision manufacturing team, focusing on the production of high-complexity aerospace components. You will be responsible for the autonomous setup and operation of turning centers, ensuring that every part meets rigorous tight-tolerance standards through expert use of Fanuc controls.

Responsibilities

Execute the full production lifecycle of precision metal components, from initial setup to final inspection.
Perform complex machine setups on CNC turning centers, utilizing Fanuc controls to ensure optimal performance.
Interpret detailed blueprints and technical specifications to drive high-quality output.
Conduct precise in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, and CMM equipment to maintain +/- .0002 tolerances.
Proactively troubleshoot machinery and implement program adjustments to maximize production efficiency.
Collaborate with leadership to verify first-article parts, ensuring alignment with aerospace quality standards.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment to support consistent operational excellence.

Qualifications

Required Skills

5+ years of professional experience in CNC lathe setup and operation.
Proven expertise in achieving tight tolerances within the aerospace or similar high-precision industry.
Advanced proficiency in reading blueprints and utilizing hand metrology tools like micrometers and calipers.
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and manage machine changeovers efficiently.
Physical capability to stand for extended shifts and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills

Experience with specific turning center brands such as Kia or Hardinge.
Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset for team-based environments.
