Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Cake Decorator to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will bring artistic flair and precision to the art of cake decorating, transforming baked goods into stunning edible masterpieces. Your creativity, culinary expertise, and commitment to food safety will ensure that every cake not only looks beautiful but also meets the highest standards of quality and flavor. Responsibilities

Decorate cakes and baked goods with intricate designs, including piping, fondant work, and other decorative techniques
Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in flavor and presentation
Prepare cakes, pastries, and other baked items in accordance with established food production standards
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to food safety regulations at all times
Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including mixers, ovens, and decorating tools
Package finished products securely for delivery or customer pickup while ensuring presentation quality
Assist with high-volume production during peak times to meet customer demand and deadlines

Qualifications

Proven experience in cake decorating, pastry preparation, or food production within a bakery or restaurant setting
Strong knife skills and proficiency in food handling techniques
Knowledge of food safety management practices and adherence to health regulations
Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent attention to detail with a creative eye for design and presentation
Basic math skills for measurements, portioning, and recipe adjustments
Exceptional customer service skills to engage positively with clients and team members
Previous catering or high-volume bakery experience is highly desirable
Culinary experience in the food industry with a focus on baked goods or pastry arts
