We fabricate individual components, assemblies or complete products to meet our customer’s unique specifications. We specialize in metal fabrication- using light- to medium-thickness metals. CMP serves a number of industries including- Electronics component and assemblies; Lighting/Energy; Industrial equipment- machine enclosures; Electrical Enclosure; Material handling equipment and storage; medical, safety and military.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR~

A skilled and dependable CNC Laser Operator who takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality parts while meeting production goals.
Someone who can read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure parts are produced accurately and to customer requirements.
A detail-oriented individual who understands the importance of precision when setting up and operating CNC laser equipment.
Someone who can efficiently set up and operate CNC laser machines, including loading materials, selecting programs, adjusting machine settings, and monitoring the cutting process.
A proactive problem solver who can identify and troubleshoot machine, material, or quality issues and make adjustments to keep production running smoothly.
A quality-focused team player who inspects completed parts, identifies defects, and makes necessary adjustments without sacrificing efficiency.
Someone who is safety-minded and consistently follows machine safety procedures, PPE requirements, and proper material-handling practices.
A reliable team player who communicates effectively with coworkers, leads, and supervisors and works together to meet department and production goals.
Someone who takes ownership of their work and is willing to learn new equipment, processes, and techniques while continuously developing their skills.

SHIFT HOURS ~

4 10's Schedule
Monday - Thursday 3:45pm - 2:15am (with occasional OT on Fridays)
$1.00 Shift Premium
Training for this role, must take place on 1st shift prior to transitioning to 2nd.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES ~

Laser Operation & Production

Set up and operate laser cutting equipment to produce parts according to specifications and production schedules
Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate cutting and processing of materials
Monitor machine performance and production output to maintain quality and meet deadlines
Assist with material handling and part removal; ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Take ownership of jobs from start to finish, ensuring smooth production flow

Equipment Maintenance

Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning optics and general equipment upkeep
Use hand and vibrating tools for adjustments and finishing work as needed
Ensure machines are operating safely and efficiently

Quality Assurance & Inspection

Inspect and measure finished components to verify compliance with specifications
Complete inspection reports and maintain accurate production documentation
Perform basic math calculations, including working with fractions and decimals, to support accuracy

Communication & Team Collaboration

Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding production status and issues
Collaborate across departments to ensure workflow efficiency
Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment

QUALIFICATIONS~

1+ years of hands-on laser operating experience
Experience with laser cutting systems (Mitsubishi experience preferred)
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
2+ years of manufacturing or metal fabrication experience is a plus
Strong communication and teamwork skills
